Me and Kjersti Foss happy about getting som fresh tracks after the comp got canceled.
Venue for the qualification and finals X-free 2010

Cliff drop in the finals

Cancelled competitions has been the trend in the Norwegian freeride cup this year, also the qualification of this years X-free competition was canceled due to heavy snowfall and fog. Saturday came the weather was much better with only ligth clouds, fortunately. The organisers aimed to get through 2 runs this day, the qualification run and the finals. Visibility in the qualifying round was bad, and I toally missed my line as did many of the other riders I spoke to. I was in second place after the qualifying and came through to the finals. Many riders were skeptical about going up to the start again and do a second run. The visibility had only got worse and did not seem to become any better. After a brief meeting the riders who were in the finals was instructed to get back up to the starting point. The forcasts told that a weather window was to come although I did not really believe it. The mood amongst the riders on the hike back up to the starting point was witty. Many of the riders wanted for the comp to be canceled and did not want to do another run without visibility. To our surprice it cleared up and the sun came through just as I was about to start. Sweeeet! I was much happier with my second attempt to get my line rigth, although I missed it once more, I got a "fun, good visibility inprovised freestylah make you line as you go " line. Oh yes, what a tricky and super fun venue.

Anne May Slinning and me stoked after our finale run.
